Marketing Intelligence Manager - Shanghai

At a multinational personal care company - digital marketing department

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-level marketing effectiveness analytics projects, including quarterly category reporting, marketing ROI measurement & optimization suggestion (marketing mix modeling) and strategic campaign diagnostics.
  • Support the head of Corporate DM delivering data driven insights and recommendations for C’suite decisions.
  • Conceptualize measurement and optimization frameworks that help drive business impact and optimize marketing investments.
  • Seek, identify and implement valuable data and intelligence source for setting relevant benchmark and detecting signals for market and competitive landscape changes.
  • Constantly enhance and promote internal data visualization tool. Train business users across divisions in using these tools to improve corporate data analytics agility.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to provide consultative insights that drive creativity and effectiveness.
  • Incorporate expertise in analytics paired with building relationship with key internal business stakeholders to understand their business, marketing and creative strategy.

Requirement

  • Capability to develop framework and methodologies to tackle strategic issues
  • Leads development of insight logic and narrative
  • Ability to work independently and influence others and articulate complex findings for internal stakeholders including C-Suites
  • Comfortable with less clearly defined, qualitative aspects as well as with rigorous quantitative areas
  • Ability to multi-task among several stakeholders and deadlines
  • Gain team’s trust as a valued marketing and analytics expert.

Qualification, Education, Experiences etc.

  • Minimum 10+ year experience in the combination of marketing science & engineering, brand measurement, media performance analysis, either in consulting firm, marketing agencies serving for beauty brands or in corporate marketing intelligence team for international FMCG company with advanced marketing approach.
  • Experiences working with marketing strategy, integrated/multi-channel campaign planning team.
  • Additional experience with marketing intelligence, data mining tools & application, Visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable about latest forms of user behavior tracking, insight mining (including latest social listening) and analytics as well as familiarity with classic consumer research methodologies
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin. Exceptional written, oral communication skills.
  • Facility to work efficiently in complex matrix organization.
